Generic freelance platforms were never designed for hardware. ElectroHire is purpose built for electronics engineering, giving hardware startups, SMEs and enterprises a smarter, more efficient way to find, vet and work with specialist talent.
| Category | ElectroHire | Generic platforms |
|---|---|---|
Platform focus | Electronics engineering, exclusively | All trades, no domain specialisation |
Talent quality | PCB, embedded and FPGA experts only | Unfiltered, mixed skill pool |
Freelancer fee | 5% flat — lowest in the market | 10 to 20% off every payment |
Client fee | 10%, fully transparent, no surprises | 10 to 15% plus hidden charges |
Hiring efficiency | Pre-matched talent, hire in hours not days | Heavy manual filtering slows everything down |
Project understanding | Electronics-native context baked in from day one | Clients must over explain hardware requirements |
Expert support | Dedicated engineering guidance at every stage | Minimal support, largely self-serve |
AI capability | Ellie assists with scoping, cost and engineer matching | Generic AI integrations or none at all |
Trust and verification | Identity verified with domain-level technical validation | Surface level checks only |
Cost transparency | Clear, predictable pricing at every step | Fees frequently unclear or revealed late |
Best suited for | Hardware startups, growing SMEs and enterprises | General purpose freelance needs |
