krunch
👋 Hello! I usually go by krunch /krʌntʃ/ on the Internet, though not many people know my real name. I like a lot of stuff, and you will probably learn about what they are below.

Projects
I have worked on a few projects and these are one ones that I think are worthy of a mention here.
- krunchpad: A 12 key macropad powered by RP2040 with KMK firmware.
- krunchpad-20: krunchpad but with 20 keys.
- krunchboard-90: A 75% ANSI mechanical keyboard powered by a Raspberry Pi Pico with KMK firmware.
- TrailMarker: Coordinate guiding tool build for the Heltec Wireless Tracker V2.
- usb-hub-v2: A 4 port USB hub that have both USB-A and USB-C connector for PC.
- uk-crime-map: A tool to visualise and plot the location and details of crimes in the UK Police API.
- GeoFS-Information-Display: A userscript extension for the web flight simulator GeoFS that displays various information about the flight.
- bus-board: A website to show information about local buses in the UK.
- RPi-BBC-RSS-OLED: A program to display latest BBC news headlines on a 0.96” i2c display.
- bme280-web: A self-hosted minimalistic website to display climate data from a BME280 sensor.
- confessions-api: An API for sending, reading, rating, and commenting anonymous confessions.
- JPEG-webcam-timelapse: A program to generate a timelapse GIF from JPEG stream webcams.
Photography!
I’m not very good at creative stuff, but I would say I am decent at taking photos.
There are many things I like to photograph, mainly landscape, cities, animals, and the moon!
I’ll showcase some here eventually…

Homelab
At home, I have a micro datacenter that I self host various applications on, the main PC runs Proxmox VE, which have a few containers such as
- Vaultwarden (self-hosted password manager)
- samba with filebrowser (network attached storage)
- speedtest tracker
- discopanel (Minecraft server panel)
- qBittorrent
- Homelabel (Homelab visualiser)
This system is mainly assembled with parts I have laying around so it’s not the best, but its enough for Proxmox VE
- CPU: Intel Pentium Gold G6400 (2C4T) @ 4GHz
- Memory: 2x4GB DDR4-2666
- Disks: 2x 300GB HDD (ZFS RAID 1)
- Motherboard: ASUS H410M-K
I also have a Raspberry Pi 3B, I run services like meshtasticd (off-grid, mesh communication network), and other ADS-B related applications such as fr24feed, adsbexchange feeder, tar1090, graphs1090, etc…)
Again, here are the specifications:
- Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Rev 1.2
- CPU: BCM2837 (4C4T) @ 1.20 GHz
- Memory: 1GB LPDDR2
- Disk: 32GB MicroSD
I’ll add a network diagram here some day…
Aviation!
I think aviation is pretty cool. The idea of being able to travel freely, far far away always interested me, in my free time, I like to fly around the world in MSFS2020.
Electronics
I’m not very good at coding, but I am pretty good at making electronics, I love designing circuit boards and assembling them, it’s just like LEGO but more advanced :p
I’m also pretty good at soldering, I’d say most of my joints are perfect!
I’ve also soldered a few 01005 resistors which in my opinion is quite impressive, for reference, each resistor is about 0.2mm wide, which is just about the size of a grain of fine table salt!
Radio and RF
I have been interested in RF for quite a while, I remeber when I bought a software-defined radio dongle and started tracking aircrafts via ADS-B and Mode-S, I had so much fun just learning about radio frequencies. This wasn’t something I thought I would be interested in but I am so glad I discovered it.
I also learned about receving NOAA satellite images, particularlly the NOAA-15/18/19 satellites that transmits APT on 137MHz, I remember using a handheld radio and just recording the beeps of the APT signal, then later decoding them on SatDump.
I didn’t get many good quality images from it before they were decomissioned but here’s my favourite one.

Music!
When I’m not taking photos, or flying, or tinkering, I like to listen to music (or while doing those things), I listen to many things across multiple genres!
Here’s a collection of music I quite like:
Other things!
I don’t really like doing game-sports, although I do like hiking, rock climbing, and much more.
I quite like cooking, or things that I can see the results of my work!
Over the course of my life, I’ve set foot on 10 countries, those being (in alphabetical order): China, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Qatar, Taiwan, United Kingdom, and Vatican City.
Btw, most if not all of my projects are open source on GitHub, because where else would I store them :>
And finally, a few words about my computer: It’s a PC that I built not long ago (late 2025), and mainly comprise of used parts which helped to bring the cost down dramatically. PCPartPicker
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G (6C12T) @ 3.9GHz
- GPU: ASUS DUAL RTX 2070 MINI OC
- Memory: 2x8GB DDR4-2400
- Disks: 1x Fanxiang S100 128GB SATA SSD, 1x 750GB HDD and 2x 1TB HDD
- Motherboard: GIGABYTE A520M-K V2 Rev 1.1
And as always, feel free to shoot me an email or direct message me anytime, anywhere, and for any reason :) (Please read nohello and dontasktoask first) Byeeeeeeeeeee.
