Workshop: Fantasy Romance Writing Workshop
Sweeping worlds, impossible odds, and a love strong enough to bend fate—fantasy romance lets you write a story where the stakes are as high as the passion. But how do you get from a flicker of an idea to actual pages, with both the ""fantasy"" and the ""romance"" pulling their weight? In this hands-on, two-hour workshop, we'll walk through writing one start to finish, with Sudowrite as your co-writer.
Together we'll go from first spark to opening pages: brainstorming and shaping your concept, building your leads in the Story Bible (clashing wants, tender flaws, and the wound only the other person can heal), and sketching just enough world and magic to make your story feel real without drowning the romance. We'll map a full romantic arc into a beat-by-beat outline—first meeting or first clash, the forced proximity, the magic or prophecy or war that keeps pulling them together and threatening to tear them apart, the dark moment, and the hard-won happily-ever-after—then draft real prose, leaning on Sudowrite to help you write, revise, and deepen those swoon-worthy emotional beats. We'll lean into what makes fantasy romance sing: fated mates and enemies-to-lovers, courtly intrigue and wild magic, and stakes that put both the world and the heart on the line.
