Is there a Yamli for Windows?
Type3arabi works the same way as Yamli, but it is a Windows keyboard, not a website: it types straight into Word, WhatsApp, Teams, Notepad and your browser, and it works offline.
هل يوجد يملي لويندوز؟
«اكتب عربي» يعمل بطريقة يملي نفسها، لكنه كيبورد في ويندوز وليس موقعاً: يكتب مباشرة في وورد وواتساب وتيمز والمفكرة والمتصفح، ويعمل بدون إنترنت.
Is it a replacement for Microsoft Maren?
It does what Maren did, on Windows 10 and 11. Maren was made for Windows XP to 7 and is no longer supported by Microsoft. Type3arabi is independent and not connected to Microsoft.
هل هو بديل لـ«مرن» من مايكروسوفت؟
يقوم بما كان يقوم به «مرن»، على ويندوز 10 و11. كان «مرن» مصمَّماً لويندوز XP حتى 7، ولم تعد مايكروسوفت تدعمه. «اكتب عربي» مشروع مستقل ولا علاقة له بمايكروسوفت.
Does it need the internet?
No. Everything runs on your PC, and nothing you type is sent anywhere.

Does it translate English?
No. It turns Arabic written in Latin letters into Arabic letters. English words stay English with Shift+Space.

لا. يحوّل الكلام العربي المكتوب بحروف إنجليزية إلى حروف عربية، وتبقى الكلمات الإنجليزية كما هي بـ Shift+Space.
