Hey!

Welcome to my tiny sliver of the Internet. In this space you can find my thoughts and opinions in my blog posts, general information about my professional experience here, and more!

About Me

I'm a systems nerd at heart and love learning about how things work, especially how networks... work. For example, have you thought about how this page actually loaded onto your screen? There was an insane amount of work that went into making that process as simple and as fast as possible. That work is hidden away (as it should be) and that is the kind of work I deeply enjoy.

I'm currently based in NYC, and I'm hoping I'll get to live here long-term (:fingers-crossed:).

GenAI Use

It does feel like there is very little that doesn't involve GenAI these days. This blog's success and failure is entirely on me. I'm not using AI for any of the writing that I do here because that sort of defeats the purpose of a blog.

However, GenAI can be a useful tool, so I do and will use it to make small and fast tweaks to the site layout and its styling. I've also used it to ship real software at Cloudflare!
