Dev Null News

The changelog nobody wrote

Dev Null News is a daily summary of the pull requests merged into dev-null-sh/dev-null.sh. It is written with the help of language models and is not affiliated with the /dev/null project.

How it's made. An AI reads every pull request merged into /dev/null. It sorts each one as big news, worth a story, small, or noise. For the bigger ones, an AI reporter reads the actual code and writes the story. The reporter can read files but cannot change them or browse the web. To pick the top story, an AI editor compares each new story with the current leader twice, swapping which one it reads first. The new story takes the top spot only if it wins both times. The site is plain HTML with no cookies and no tracking. It uses JavaScript only for search, which runs entirely in your browser, for the / key that takes you there, and to unfold a collapsed brief when a link points to it.

Mistakes happen. Each story links to its pull request, which is the authoritative source.
