SamXiaoMiCode is a Chinese-first Xiaomi MiMo coding agent with a CLI, web dashboard, and Tauri desktop client. It is built around the Xiaomi MiMo OpenAI-compatible API and only accepts mimo-v2.5 and mimo-v2.5-pro as chat models.
At a glance: the welcome banner, slash-command picker, tool cards, diff preview, and status row render the same way the desktop client does.

The desktop client lives in desktop/ and is built on Tauri 2:
- React 19 + Vite frontend with strict TypeScript.
- Rust backend bridges the local CLI sidecar through Tauri commands.
- Signed updater, WebView2 install hints, light/dark theme.

User configuration is stored at:

Set the API key through the first-run wizard or environment variables:
export MIMO_API_KEY=...
export MIMO_BASE_URL=https://api.xiaomimimo.com/v1MIMO_BASE_URL or SAMXIAOMICODE_BASE_URL may point at a third-party OpenAI-compatible proxy, but the model must still be mimo-v2.5 or mimo-v2.5-pro. Official pricing estimates are disabled for non-official base URLs.
