Hey there, I'm David Adewunmi

Software Engineer | Comp-Sci Major | AI/ML + Backend Engineering

I am a Software Engineer and I enjoy building robust, scalable backend systems and intelligent applications. While my foundation is in Computer Science, my focus is strictly on engineering execution: writing optimized code, designing clean architectures, and shipping production-ready software. I get curious about integrating machine learning and autonomous agents into practical, high-performance applications.

🧠 Skills & Tools

My workflow prioritizes high-speed execution and developer mobility. I leverage a Linux, Termux, and Neovim environment to write code and deploy pipelines seamlessly across my laptop and mobile devices.

Technical Projects

  • Synk: An AI-powered peer-to-peer service marketplace built for Nigeria's informal economy. I built the intelligence layer, including trust scoring, fraud detection, and price intelligence powered by Gemini 2.5 Flash, along with Squad API escrow integration. Placed Top 34 at Squad Hackathon 3.0.
  • UNILAG Emergency Response (UER): A campus incident routing system connecting students to medical, fire, and security response teams through separate reporter and responder interfaces. Built with React, TypeScript, and Vite on the frontend, with a Spring Boot backend currently in progress.
  • Coral: A spam detection microservice powered by a TF-IDF and Logistic Regression classifier, served through a FastAPI endpoint. Achieves 98.5% accuracy and a 94.3% F1 score.
