Performance issue with markers in ocean/no address #378

Hi,
We've been developing a site for a client who needed one map with a lot of offshore location markers (like in the middle of the ocean).
So we have multiple entries, each with a map field with the address hidden, and pull only the lat and lng values from the map field and use with mapbox.js on one page.
We noticed a heavy performance hit once they started populating the entries. Even at only 4 entries getting the lat/lng values add about a 1 second extra loading time (with caching disabled), and they need about 30 items.

I finally realized that it's solved by enabling the address field again and inputting random data to the address fields.
Would be great to not have to ask the client to input nonsense to avoid this issue:):)
