Hi, I'm Irfan

Cloud and network support engineer in Kuala Lumpur. AWS re/Start graduate, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, CompTIA Network+ certified, and Microsoft Certified: AI Business Professional (AB-730). In October 2026 I completed the AWS-sponsored Future AWS Agentic AI Business Professional Nanodegree on Udacity, which is where most of my recent work comes from. Currently studying for CompTIA Cloud+ (exam Oct 2026) and AWS Solutions Architect Associate (exam Nov 2026).

I'm still learning. I try to build real things rather than just follow labs. Most of my work is hands-on AWS, Linux and Python. Lately I've been getting into AI engineering by running my own Hermes agent on a VPS.

Projects

  • revenue-intelligence-dashboard-novatech - Amazon Quick Suite build for a fictional B2B SaaS: CRM, marketing and support data joined into one model, three interactive dashboard sheets with an AI layer on top, and a written audit of the five ways the AI answers went wrong. The join turns 5,739 records into 63,420 rows, so most of the work was deciding which number is safe to quote.
  • market-intelligence-agent-kuala-lumpur - Market research agent for the Kuala Lumpur short-term rental market: 303 listings and 51 external sources, a chat agent grounded on internal documents, and a research brief arguing that regulation rather than price is the binding constraint on revenue.
  • ecs-fargate-cicd-pipeline - FastAPI service that ships to AWS ECS Fargate on every push, using GitHub Actions with OIDC and no static AWS keys. Trivy scans the image and checkov scans the Terraform, both in CI.
  • cloud-plus-mock - Free Pearson VUE-style CompTIA Cloud+ (CV0-004) mock exam simulator with 310 questions, per-option explanations and study mode. Static site, no signup.
  • network-health-monitor - Async Python tool that checks host reachability and TCP ports and stores uptime and latency in SQLite. It sends a webhook alert only when a host changes state. Scheduled with a systemd timer.
  • aws-vpc-ec2-baseline - Hardened CloudFormation VPC and EC2 baseline. SSM-only access, no open port 22, CI security scanning.
  • k8s-demo-app - Containerized FastAPI service deployed to Kubernetes via Terraform with a GitHub Actions pipeline (Trivy vulnerability gate, OIDC-ready).
  • cloud-security-posture-analyzer - Python CLI that audits AWS-style inventories and flags misconfigurations, mapped to CIS AWS Foundations v1.4.0.
  • hermes-agentic-ai-infrastructure - Autonomous agent infrastructure on a Linux VPS: 45 cron workflows, 9router LLM gateway, full observability stack.
