Adds EventBroadcaster.Close(): it closes a Done channel, closes every subscriber channel, and makes later Subscribe calls return an already-closed channel, so a stream that starts during shutdown ends at once. Unsubscribe skips a channel that Close already ended, which keeps the stream handler's deferred Unsubscribe safe. A channel is only closed under the write lock after leaving the map, so Broadcast can never send on a closed channel.
Client.Stop() calls Close after the informer factories have shut down. cmd/api/main.go already calls Stop before srv.Shutdown; its comment and log line now say what that step does.
The SSE handler selects on Done, so shutdown reaches it even while events are still queued on its channel: the queue is dropped and nothing more is written. A write that is in progress when shutdown starts gets its deadline moved to now, which returns a write blocked on a stalled client; a stream that is idle at that moment is left alone so the response ends cleanly.
Tests: Close semantics (channels and Done closed, late Subscribe closed, double Close, late Unsubscribe and Broadcast safe), Close under concurrent Broadcast/Subscribe/Unsubscribe with the race detector, Stop ending subscriptions, an httptest server test where a healthy client's stream ends cleanly and http.Server.Shutdown returns, and one where the client stops reading, 64 MB of events are queued so the handler blocks in a write, and Shutdown still completes within 5 seconds.
Why we need it
http.Server.Shutdown waits for active connections to go idle. An event stream never does on its own, so a console with one browser tab open sat through the whole 30-second deadline on SIGTERM and then left through logger.Fatal("Server forced to shutdown") with exit code 1. CodeRabbit raised this on #27; it waited for the client.go rewrite in #25 to land. Wanted in v0.1.0.
Browsers reconnect an EventSource by themselves, so ending the stream is all the client needs.
How to test
cd backend && go test -race ./... passes. With Close turned into a no-op the broadcaster and stream tests fail (channel not closed, stream still open 5s after Broadcaster.Close); with the deadline change removed, the stalled-client test fails (Shutdown did not complete while a stream was stalled).
By hand: make dev, open the console in a browser, send SIGTERM to the backend. It should log Stopping informers and event streams..., SSE stream ended for shutdown and Server exited right away instead of Server forced to shutdown after 30 seconds.

Summary by CodeRabbit
Bug Fixes
Live event streams now end cleanly when the service shuts down, including when a client is not keeping up with incoming events.
Stream updates and keep-alive messages are handled consistently, helping prevent stalled connections from delaying shutdown.
Shutdown logging now indicates that event streams are stopping along with informers.
The event broadcaster now closes active subscriptions after the Kubernetes client stops. The SSE handler observes broadcaster shutdown, ends the stream, and interrupts stalled writes. Tests cover broadcaster lifecycle and SSE stream shutdown.
EventBroadcaster tracks shutdown, closes active subscriptions, and returns closed channels for later subscriptions. Client.Stop closes the broadcaster after stopping both informer factories. Tests cover repeated closure, concurrent use, and client shutdown.
The handler sends confirmations, events, and pings through a shared write path. It observes broadcaster shutdown and moves an active write deadline to the present. Tests check stream termination, including when the client stops reading. The API shutdown log now mentions event streams.
ome-projects/ome-console#32: Includes the SSE write-deadline changes and frontend event-stream consumer related to this stream.
Merge Risk: Low · up to a8988
SSE shutdown has a path to interrupt stalled writes, but the test does not reliably exercise it. The change is mergeable with follow-up test coverage.

Synchronize on an active blocked write instead of sleeping.
Broadcast only queues events on a buffered channel. It does not wait for the handler to call WriteString. After Broadcaster.Close, the handler can select the shutdown case and return without an active write. Shutdown then succeeds even if the shutdown watcher no longer updates an active write deadline.
Use a blocking net.Conn test fixture that signals when the event write starts and honors SetWriteDeadline. Close the broadcaster only after that signal, then assert that shutdown releases the blocked write.
