NewWebhookManagedBycheck hardcodes a path and ignores the call's type argument.Any call to
NewWebhookManagedBymarks the InferenceService validator path as registered. If a different type is registered through this builder, the InferenceService path is still marked as registered. If the call is removed, the test fails. If the call is kept but the type changes, the test passes incorrectly.Narrow the check to the actual type argument, or document the limitation in the comment.

Register the BenchmarkJob reconciler and validating webhook with the manager again. Preserve the control-plane gate and configured event recorder, and check that every declared webhook path is registered. Signed-off-by: spicysharkco <321699413+spicysharkco@users.noreply.github.com>

What this PR does
Register the BenchmarkJob reconciler and validating webhook again. Preserve the control-plane role gate and use the manager's configured event broadcaster. Add one test in the existing manager test file that checks every webhook path declared in the chart and in
config/webhook/manifests.yamlis registered inmain.go.Why we need it
Install from
mainand apply a valid BenchmarkJob. Admission fails with:#804 removed the controller setup and webhook registration. Its description listed “The benchmark controller and its config surface” under “Kept as-is.” The chart still declares this path with
failurePolicy: Fail(charts/ome-resources/templates/ome-controller/webhooks/benchmarkjobvalidator.yaml:14-15), as doesconfig/webhook/manifests.yaml:160-161. Without the reconciler, admitted BenchmarkJobs also have no controller to create their Jobs.Overlap checked: no focused restoration found. Open #414 proposes a broader manager split and predates #804. Open #1203 and #838 touch the manager but leave these registrations absent. Release refs retain both registrations; this fix targets
main.How to test
The test fails with the registration removed (1 failed, 0 passed) and passes with it (1 passed). Package suites pass 67 manager, 19 controller and 23 webhook leaf cases, with no failures or skips. The source check guards webhook registration; the cluster check exercises the controller.
On a single-node k3s cluster, I ran both manager binaries against the API server with a serving certificate and a URL-based webhook configuration. The same BenchmarkJob was rejected with the error above on
main, then admitted and reconciled into an owned Job with the fix. A valid update succeeded; a dry-run update clearing the endpoint was denied. Benchmark execution was not tested.Gofmt, goimports, vet, module tidiness and diff checks pass.
make ci-lintcould not run because the pinned linter supports export-data version 2 while dependencies use version 4;bin/golangci-lint run --faston the three tested packages passes. Full lint was not run. RBAC was checked by reading: the existing chart and config roles cover the reconciler. No API or marker inputs changed, so no regeneration is needed. The full suite was not run.Checklist
