In a world increasingly lived on screens, we believe in living a little more on paper.

Over twenty years ago, founder Rebecca Ruebensaal enlisted her childhood imaginary friend, a well-travelled gentleman named Mr. Boddington, to start a business devoted to paper. Her parents were understandably concerned.

What began with exquisite bespoke invitations for Manhattan brides has evolved into a world of hand-illustrated stationery, books, magazines, curious vintage finds and beautifully useful objects for the desk and library. All guided by Mr. B's rather particular point of view.

More recently, Rebecca joined forces with Courtney Ebner, founder of Norman & Jules, to open a Brooklyn flagship celebrating paper, good design and the lost art of old-fashioned shopkeeping.

Today, Mr. Boddington's creations can be found in shops worldwide, and alongside collaborations with some rather wonderful brands. Behind the imaginary gentleman is a talented team of women with a very real conviction.
